Mes émissions = Partie 2

J'ai déjà parlé dans l'article précèdent de l'émission "cribs" sur MTV.  Toujours sur la même chaine, je me délecte d'une autre émission tout aussi débile: "Pimp my ride". Un pimp, c'est un maquereau, un proxénète... Dans la culture anglo-saxonne, on parle souvent de leur façon de s'habiller, dû à un pouvoir d'achat illimité et d'un sens esthétique inversement proportionnel à ce premier.
Présentée par le rappeur Xzibit, le but est de trouver la bagnole la plus pourrie du monde et de la rendre la plus bling bling possible, a grand renfort d'artisans virtuoses de la tôle, du cuir et de la peinture... Quand on sait l'importance donnée dans la société US à l'apparence de sa voiture, on imagine les réactions hystériques des participants quand ils découvrent leur vilain petit canard transformé en cygne de platine à pulsion thermonucléaire...

Oui, c'est une émission de tuning... Mais là ou le tuneur varois va dépenser quelques centaines d'euros dans une décalcomanie tribal à coller sur les lunette arrière, un pare-boue repeint à la bombe dans le jardin et des jantes en plastique imitation métal, voire un sound system acheté à planet saturn de 4 fois 50 watts avec le boom box dans le coffre de la 205, "Pimp My Ride" est produite par MTV. Et les mecs de "west coast custom" (le garage officiel qui se paie une pub d'enfer grâce à l'émission) veulent montrer leur savoir-faire. Et donc, on se retrouve avec des vieilles bouses remises à neuf pour parfois 20 fois leur valeur!

Rien n'est trop beau. La nouvelle PS3 reliée aux 6 écrans plats full HD dans le coffre, la fontaine entre les deux sièges avant, l'intérieur refait  à la main en daim rose brodé du nom de la propriétaire, le nouveau tableau de bord avec un ordinateur inclus, la peinture custom avec des flammes en dégradé avec des paillettes, on nage en plein délire d'un roi du pétrole sous acide, sauf qu'au lieu d'avoir une Bentley en or massif, on a une voiture bonne pour la casse remontée en intégralité. Et encore une fois, la marque de MTV: l'absence totale de retenue et de bon goût.
